Wild brown trout with the fly rod

Castile and León is one of the most diverse and productive destinations for fly fishing in Europe. In the province of León alone, more than 3500 kilometers of trout streams await you with a thriving native trout population. From medium and slow flowing rivers to fast, rocky mountain streams that crisscross the Cantabrian Mountains, you can get the most out of our sport amidst gorgeous landscapes and pure nature.

Leon is a region with a strong fishing heritage. Proof of this is the Astorga manuscript from 1624, where we find the first evidence of a primitive fly fishing technique that has been developed ever since. The world famous Coq de Leon roosters are bred in this area where traditional fishing was and still is an important part of the culture and lifestyle.

The lodge is located on the central mountain of León, 25 km north of the city of León, in a privileged valley with the crescents of Vegacervera, the caves of Valporquero, El Faedo de Orzonaga and many other natural attractions. The "base camp" is strategically located and from there you can quickly and easily reach by car the best rivers and mythical fishing spots of the region.
